This was a show that I recorded on the Dynasonic mobile rig right here in
Atlanta at a local musician friendly venue called
Smith's Olde Bar. A friend of mine (Eli
Akins) was recording The Soundtrack of our Lives, who
were playing that same night along with The Dears. We had been in the
same venue the night before recording the
Donna Hopkins Band and
Ralph Roddenbery, so we just left our gear there and let him use it. I
was there to assist on his recording and just decided to talk to the American
Minor guys and see if it was OK for me to roll tape. They were cool with it and
so that's how this whole thing turned out. This show was mixed by
Andy Reilly.
I had never heard of them before that night but was floored once they started
up. I was an instant fan, and have kept in touch with them since then. I
noticed that there were alot of folks looking around for some live recordings
of them, and so I asked if it would be ok for me to post this show up. Again,
they are great guys and were really interested, so here we are. Yall check out
their Myspace page, leave them a message and tell them what a great band you
think they are!
I'm still working on the Podcast, so yall will have to hold out for a day or
